The narratives we tell ourselves define our reality. Our beliefs about ourselves become patterned from early experiences. Our beliefs motivate our actions and what we draw to ourselves. We can change our stories and shift our world. By holding a container of a safe space, I can help reflect back your story through curiosity, non-judgment, acceptance and compassion. Through this process, trauma and difficult emotions can be processed to make room for growth.

Philosophy and Approach: I believe that each individual has an unfolding personality that navigates life with strengths and challenges and seeks to grow to their potential. I approach counseling as a collaborative process where my role is of a coach and to journey on a path of empowerment with you. I believe in the resiliency of each individual that responds to the need to find health and wholeness. My work is aligned with Attachment theory where patterns are set in place in early childhood and are discovered in the now, in order to remap secure connections. Some tools I share can be experienced through breath and body movement to unlock stored patterns. Mindfulness is a secure base that one can tap into as they realize their interconnection to the whole.
Formal Training and Education: I hold a Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University. My coursework in Practice, Leadership and Community Organization has informed my practice in areas of anti-oppressive practice and trauma-informed care in individual and group counseling. I am working on licensing towards a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) under the supervision of Fred Williams license number L6227, an approved LCSW supervisor through the Board of Licensed Social Workers. I am providing services as a Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA), certificate number A11644 abiding by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics.
